Have you voted for your Fan-Favorite Town?

July 25 is the last day to vote! Go to Visit Connecticut to cast your vote – and remember you can vote once a day, every day between now and July 25. Many towns are offering prizes that make voting that much sweeter.

It’s a great way to promote your town and/or business destination or attraction. The winning town or destination will receive:

  • Still Revolutionary Town of the Year award and bragging rights for the year
  • PR support and promotion to raise awareness for your town and place
  • Advertising support from the Office of Tourism
  • Honorary plaque presented by the Office of Tourism
  • Editorial feature in the 2015 Connecticut Visitor’s Guide
  • Week-long social media takeover across Visit Connecticut’s social channels

Currently four out of the top five towns are all in Mystic Country – Vote now, and daily, for your favorite Mystic Country town!

Eastern Regional Tourism District/Mystic Country proudly launched the new Industry.MysticCountry.com site for tourism professionals in eastern Connecticut. The only site of its kind in CT dedicated to tourism, Industry.MysticCountry.com is where tourism based businesses can find tourism industry news including ways to get involved in tourism promotion and marketing opportunities.

The site also houses the ERTD database; a press section for media interested in learning more about the region; a master calendar of events; and the Business of Tourism, the ERTD’s monthly industry newsletter, articles both current and past.

With this site any destination marketing organization (DMOs) or individual tourism-related entities in eastern Connecticut can access and update their listings in the tourism database. Just email rita@mysticcountry.com and provide your name, title, organization, address and daytime phone number.

Always wanting to make our advertising dollars go farther and reach more potential visitors, ERTD/Mystic Country is partnering with the State of Connecticut – Office of Culture and Tourism in an expanded digital promotional campaign. While not the only advertising campaign being conducted by ERTD/Mystic Country the details are finely targeted and trackable. Click here for details.

 

Be featured in our monthly Mystic.org mini-promotions

The Eastern Regional Tourism District/Mystic Country develops monthly online mini-promotions on Mystic.org to help move visitors through our 42-town region.

Any tourism-related entity that falls within our coverage area (click here for a map of Mystic Country) is allowed and encouraged to submit events and specials for these promotions. Past mini-promotions included Get Out on the Water, Fireworks in Mystic Country, April Vacation and the soon to be launched Summer Music in Mystic Country.
